Via Frankie Magazine
Earlier in the year, Frankie Magazine got in touch with me about taking part in their 2014 calendar – my answer was of course a big FAT “hell yes”. Well, the calendars are finally off the press and I’ve got a copy in my hot little hands! I feel like I can actually call myself an illustrator now since I’ve got something in print on a commercial level *cue the heavens opening and a choir singing*. It’s a lovely calendar (I’m not being biased or anything…) full of amazing illustrations, I’m so chuffed to be amongst such talented artists. I experienced a ‘meant-to-be’ moment as well… when I flipped through the calendar, I found that my particular illustration was for September – my birth month! It made me extra happy.
Why not get yourself or a loved one a copy of this lovely calendar via the Frankie shop. It would make a super delightful Christmas present!
Source Rooftop Movies
This weekend I finally got the chance to visit the Rooftop Movies located on James Street opposite the Northbridge Piazza. I loved the experience and highly recommend it. There’s something so relaxing with being out in the open air and, the cityscape background is certainly different.
It’s a fun venue decked out with vintage goodness – rows and rows of old fashioned striped deckchairs are placed on a field of astro surf, beverages and snacks are served from retro pastel caravans and, there’s awesome pink flamingos dotted here and there.
